Phillip-Michael was born in Michigan, forged in Chicago, and polished in Nashville, TN. He grew up with B.B. King calling him “nephew” and calls his music "Dive Bar Soul,"  a blend of Indie Rock songwriting with the grit and passion of the blues. He caught the attention of Ellen Degeneres who featured him on the final season of her show.

He has toured nationally with Keb Mo, Caravan Palace, and Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains). His latest album “Good to Be Here” was recorded by Grammy nominated producer, Dan Knobler (Bahamas, Allison Russell, and Lake Street Dive). He has since returned to Chicago to fuse all of the skills he’s acquired over the years to create music that is uniquely his own.
